October 12, In Search of Cape Rockjumper

Sorry, but we weren't successful in getting a good photo to share with you of this major target bird - the Cape Rockjumper.  But trust us, it is an amazingly beautiful bird (google it).  We drove from Cape Town around False Bay towards Betty's Bay to the east, and after a couple tries and a very slow 1/2 mile walk were able to add the Rockjumper to our list.  High fives were in order!  The scenery was also amazingly beautiful there.  We had to balance out the coastline beauty though with a visit to the sewage treatment facility on our way back to Cape Town to pick up some duck species and the outrageous Greater Flamingos, of which numbered about 750.
Photos are of cappuccino on the deck, Southern Boubou from the deck while drinking cappuccinos, Rockjumper habitat, the back side of a Yellow Bishop, ice plant flowers, singing Cape Rockthrush, Priscilla & I looking for the Rockjumper, looking the opposite direction towards Pringle Bay, and some Greater Flamingos.
